Chai Tea Latte Recipe

Homemade Chai Tea Latte rivals any coffee shop version. It is a caffeinated latte full of warm spices that make perfect comforting drink on cold day, and it’s an all star on Starbucks menu.

You can buy a box of chai tea bags so you can use when you are craving this chai tea latte and save yourself to Starbucks and make this recipe at your home.

You can customize it easily with sweeter or unsweetened, with whole milk, almond milk, oat milk and serve it hot or iced, the whole choice is yours.

Homemade version of this chai tea latte is cozy, aromatic and lightly sweet. You can make it within 5 minutes on the stove. Let’s move to the recipe below.

Chai Tea Latte Variations

  • Iced Chai Tea Latte: It’s great for occasions and it may seem as simple as just adding in some ice. Let your chai blend cool at least room temperature before adding ice to it.
  • Dirty Chai Tea Latte: This is a great choice when you want your normal latte but need an extra boost. This contains a shot of expresso into the mix. For making an iced dirty chai, add hot expresso to your hot chai blend and let them cool before adding ice.

Ingredients

  • 2 chai tea bags
  • ½ cup of water
  • 1 ½ cup of milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Initially add water into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil then turn off the heat.
  • Then place chai tea bags in pan and cover with a lid.
  • Let your tea steep for about 5 minutes, then you can remove tea bags.
  • And in a separate saucepan over medium heat, pour milk into pot.
  • And Add sugar and cinnamon, mix well.
  • Later heat milk until it just starts to steam but it’s not boiling.
  • Use a handheld froth or immersion blender to froth milk, it’s optional.
  • And add tea into the cup and pour milk mixture on top.

Then you can sprinkle with ground cinnamon and serve hot, enjoy.
