Homemade Triple Chocolate Cheesecake with Oreo Crust

This chocolate cheesecake recipe includes only few ingredients like cream cheese, chocolate, cocoa powder, oreo cookies, butter, heavy cream and eggs, it’s fully packed with chocolate flavor and finally this is the triple chocolate treat!
There is chocolate cookie crust at bottom, it’s made with your favorite chocolate oreo cookies.
And it has rich chocolate cheesecake filling. And chocolate cheesecake filling is made with melted semi sweet chocolate, cocoa powder, cream cheese, sugar and eggs.
This delicious cake has thick layer of smooth and silky chocolate ganache on top.
It has no such thing as to much chocolate, I’d added forth layer of chocolate-chocolate curls on top for garnish.
How To Make This Chocolate Cheesecake From Scratch?
Initially, you should made Oreo Cookie Crust, crust 24 whole oreo cookies with filling. Then you can add melted butter and stir with fork until all crumbs are evenly moistened.
Later, make chocolate cheesecake filling. Melt chopped chocolate and set aside. Then beat softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth, and mix in cocoa powder. Add eggs one by one, lightly beat after each edition. Don’t beat too much due to too much air incorporate and your cake will crack on top. Lastly, mix in melted chocolate, spread over crust and bake.
After baking, when the cake is cool completely you can make the topping. If you want to spread ganache easier, then you should do it before remove the ring from springform pan. But, if you want to create dripping effect, then remove ring initially and then spread ganache.
Which Chocolate Is Best For Chocolate Cheesecake Recipe?
For best result use high quality chocolate. You can also use bitter-sweet also labelled as dark chocolate or semi sweet chocolate. This cheesecake recipe uses only 1 ½ cup of powdered sugar and unsweetened cocoa powder so most flavor and sweetness come from chocolate.

24Oreo Cookies
1/4 cup unsalted butter
2 lbscream cheese
1 1/2 cuppowdered sugar
3 tbspcocao powder
4eggs
10ouncesbittersweet chocolate
3/4 cupheavy cream
6ozbittersweet chocolate
1tbsp granulated sugar

Instructions
To Make Crust:
Initially, preheat oven to 350 degrees F, grease 9 inch springform pan and set aside.
Then finely crush cookies in food processor, and add melted butter, blend until moistened.
Now, press crumb mixture onto bottom of prepared pan and bake for 6 minutes. And remove from oven and set on a wire rack to cool while making filling.
To Make Filling:
Firstly melt 10 ounces of bittersweet chocolate and set aside to get cool.
Mix your cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then mix in cocoa powder.
Add eggs at a time, mix them on low speed and don't overbeat it.
Now, add melted chocolate and mix on low speed to combine.
Pour filling over crust and smooth top.
And bake cheesecake until center is set and top looks dry.
Then cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes and run a thin knife around sides of pan and set cake refrigerator for at least 8 hours or overnight.
To Make Topping:
Stir cream, chocolate and sugar on low heat together in a medium saucepan until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is smooth.
And cool and pour over cheesecake.
When topping is set and cooled again run your thin knife around sides and remove springform pan sides.
This cheesecake can prepared up to 2-3 days in advance to store covered in refrigerator.
