Instructions For Cranberry Orange Sauce
Use a zester, to zest all of the orange peel. It's always easy to zest orange first. Make sure to remove only orange peel which holds the most flavor.
Use a sharp knife, to cut the orange and squeeze all of the juice. You can use about ½ cup of juice. If your orange is not juicy, then you can add a bit more water to compensate.
Heat a pot over medium heat. Add white sugar and brown sugar, water to pot and stir occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
Now, add in the orange zest, orange juice and the tart cranberries.
Simmer for 10 minutes, to begin pop and burst the cranberries.
Remove cranberries from heat and set aside to get cool. It should be cool completely before serving.
