- Initially, prepare simple syrup by combining 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil.
- Then, stir to let sugar dissolve and remove from heat and let syrup cool.
- In a sturdy glass add mint leaves, raspberries, lime juice, rum and also simple syrup.
- Later muddle to extract juices from mint leaves and raspberries with a muddler or a wooden spoon.
- Now, add ice to the glass and top with soda water.
- And garnish with more fresh Raspberries, mint leaves or lime slices.
Preparing Mojito With Simple Syrup
I made this raspberry mojito with the simple syrup.
It makes the cocktail evenly sweet, I don't like how sugar settles on bottom and doesn't get dissolved in some drinks.
Combination of tart raspberries, lime and fresh mint is refreshing to max.
Fresh berries - while I've some criticism from some readers for leaving flesh in this type of cocktails, I do believe that it should not be discarded.
If berry seeds bother you, then feel free to extract juice from the raspberries and leave the seeds out.
